STAR Lab Award

The STAR Lab awards are granted every year to recognize
excellent students in the STAR Lab. A committee is formed each
year to hold the voting process. The prize and the certificate
are awarded by Dr. Yinhai Wang in the annual STAR Lab meeting in
June.
Shining Star Award
Qualification:
- This award is the most prestigious in the STAR Lab of
the University of Washington and only the most productive
student shall receive the Shining Star title. This award is granted to the
person who has the most publications during his/her Ph.D. study period
in the STAR Lab.
Winner:
- 2008: Guohui Zhang (Five journal articles
published during 2004~2008) (photo)
Guiding Star Award
Qualification:
- The Smart Transportation Applications and Research
Laboratory (STAR Lab) of the University of Washington issues
this annual award to the only student who is identified as
the one who made the most contribution in STAR Lab resource
management, training, service, and equipment purchase and
maintenance over the past year.
